Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that the government of India has transferred one lakh 82 thousand crore rupees till date to the farmers’ accounts under the PM KISAN Samman Nidhi yojana.
Describing agriculture as the backbone of the Indian economy, the Union Agriculture Minister said that agriculture has always stood with the nation whenever there was a crisis.
Stating that India is one of the top 10 countries in terms of export volume of agrarian products, he said, efforts are being made to put India among the top five, by ensuring the qualitative standard of the agricultural products.
