Local and national government should be encouraged to direct services through the network. The Government must commit to not cutting back Post Office services. Instead, it should build up the Post Office as a financially viable and cohesive social and economic institution. Establishing a Post Bank on the current Post Office network will inevitably mean that investments have to be made.
