Jharkhand govt launches direct money transfer scheme for small farmers

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu launched the Jharkhand government’s ‘Mukhya Mantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana’ under which money will be directly transferred into the bank accounts of farmers in the state. Under the scheme, beneficiaries having farm land of less than one acre to five acres, will get 5,000 to 25,000 rupees in their bank accounts.

Gogabeel lake in Bihar declared state’s first ‘Community Reserve’

Gogabeel, an ox-bow lake in Bihar, has been declared as the state’s first ‘Community Reserve’. It is located in the Katihar district of Bihar.

  • Gogabeel is formed from the flow of the rivers Mahananda and Kankhar in the north and the Ganga in the south and east. It is the fifteenth Protected Area (PA) in Bihar.

Telangana: MEIL constructs world’s largest lift irrigation project

Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) has unveiled yet another pivotal moment in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP), as it successfully commenced operations in the world’s largest Laximpur underground pumping station (LUPS – The Package 8).

  • The pump house, named after goddess Gayatri, successfully has completed the wet run.

EnKash, a two-year-old Card focused Fin-tech startup founded by Hemant Vishnoi, Yadvendra Tyagi and Naveen Bindal, have announced the launch of the EnKash ‘Freedom Card’, India’s FIRST Corporate Credit Card for SMEs / MSMEs and startups. The most exciting feature of this card is the short duration revolving credit limit for companies to fulfill all business payments including but not limited to supplier payments, travel & entertainment expenses, utility payments, digital & cloud payments and other business expenses.


Jio and Microsoft announce alliance to accelerate digital transformation in India

Huawei launches its own operating system Harmony OS

Huawei Technologies Co unveiled its much-anticipated in-house operating system Harmony OS, marking the Chinese tech giant’s arguably biggest push to build its own software ecosystem.

  • The move is also expected to offset the influence of the US government’s restrictions over the use of Google’s Android operating system in smartphones and other hardware.


Bajrang Punia wins gold in Tbilisi Grand Prix

The Indian star wrestler Bajrang Punia has added another gold medal to his medal tally by winning the Golden bout in the Tbilisi Grand Prix of V. Balavadze and G. Kartozia, Georgia.


Anupam Kher’s autobiography realeased

Padma Bhushan awardee Anupam Kher’s autobiography “Lessons Life Taught Me, Unknowingly”, which chronicles his failures, rejections and lessons learnt in his life and in a career spanning 500 films, was released here by his friend and eminent actor Rishi Kapoor, his wife Neetu Kapoor and the fellow cast of the NBC show New Amsterdam.
