SBI, CREDAI sign MoU for real estate development

The State Bank of India (SBI) and the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a period of three years to work towards development of the real estate sector.

  • SBI and CREDAI will jointly conduct various initiatives towards the development of the real estate sector for a period of three years.

SBI to infuse Rs 1,160 cr in credit card JV companies

The SBI announced that the executive committee of its central board (ECCB) has approved infusion of additional capital up to Rs 1,160.04 crore in credit card JV companies — SBI Cards & Payment Services and GE Capital Business Process Management Services Ltd.

SBI announces Rs 6,000-cr tractor loan settlement scheme

State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a one-time farm loan settlement scheme worth Rs 6,000 crore primarily for tractors. “One Time Settlement (OTS) announced for #Agriculture #Loans! Scheme valid until 31st March.

HDFC bank launches 3-minutes digital loan against securities service

In an industry first, HDFC Bank launched digital Loan against Securities (LAS) allowing customers to avail loans in less than 3 minutes.

  • The service will also be available to customers with no credit history. The bank, which will offer 10.5 per cent interest rate on the product, will soon expand the offering to other securities such as mutual funds, bonds and insurance policies.
  • Customers can avail a minimum loan of Rs 1 lakh and maximum loan up to Rs 20 lakh under this facility. Banks normally disburse 50 per cent of the value of pledged shares as loan.
  • The bank has collaborated with NSDL to seamlessly deliver this product.

Future Generali India Insurance ties up with UCO Bank

Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII), a joint venture between Future Group and Generali, has entered into a corporate agency tie-up for its products with UCO Bank.

  • Currently Bancassurance accounts for five percent of Future Generali’s total business. Recently, the company also tied-up with Bank of Maharashtra.

Finova Capital to disburse Rs. 100 Crore worth of loan to Indian MSMEs

Finova Capital, the NBFC licensed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced its target of disbursing loans worth Rs. 100 Crore in 2017 to the Indian MSME sector.

  • Within the past one year of its launch, the company has already disbursed loans worth Rs. 20 Crores to over 220 small scale merchants, with the ticket size of Rs. nine lakh.

‘International Vision Zero Conference’ on Occupational, Safety and Health begins in New Delhi

The international conference on the VISION ZERO and its relevance to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), is being organized from 15th to 17th, March 2017 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi by Directorate General Factory Advice and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI), Government of India, Ministry of Labour and Employment and German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV), Germany in association with International Social Security Association (ISSA).

  • An exhibition on OSH – INOSH EXPO 2017 is also being organised during the conference.

Prime Minister Inaugarates ‘Krishi Unnati Mela’ in Delhi

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Krishi Unnati Mela’- the National Level Agriculture Fair-cum-Exhibition in New Delhi today. Hon’ble Prime Minister conferred Krishi Karman Awards.

  • Prime Minister also visited ‘Theme Pavilion’, one of the major attractions at the Krishi Unnati Mela, has showcased the entire scheme of things happening in the agriculture sector.
  • ‘Krishi Unnati Mela’ is organized jointly by the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India and Indian Agriculture Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, New Delhi at Indian Agriculture Research Institute from March 19-21, 2016.

Government launches new scheme for developing export linked infrastructure

The government today launched a new scheme – Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES) – for developing export linked infrastructure in states with a view to promote outbound shipments.

  • TIES seeks to bridge the infrastructure gap and provide forward and backward linkages to units engaged in trade activities.
  • The scheme, to be implemented from April 1, would have a budgetary allocation of Rs 600 crore for three years with an annual outlay of Rs 200 crore.

Centre approves Ganga cleaning projects worth over Rs 1,900 crore

As part of its ongoing clean Ganga mission, the Centre has approved 20 additional projects, worth nearly Rs 1,900 crore, for Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Delhi. Most of the projects are related to setting up new sewage treatment plants (STPs), upgrading existing STPs and laying of sewage network in different cities in the river basin.

Ending 15 years of Congress rule in Manipur, BJP leader Nongthombam Biren Singh was sworn in as the state’s chief minister in Imphal.

  • Y Joykumar Singh of the National People’s Party was sworn in as the deputy chief minister at the Raj Bhawan in Imphal.

Bihar plans to link with Adhaar its entire adult population by March 31 to launch online payment to beneficiary of different schemes

Centre approves to give special assistance to Andhra Pradesh

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave approval to give Special assistance measure for the Successor State of Andhra Pradesh through the way of special dispensation in funding of Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) and funding of irrigation component of Polavaram project.

Shashank Manohar resigns as ICC chairman
