IBPS RRB PO Mains Exam held on November 05, 2017. There were 5 sections as Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English Language/Hindi Language, Computer Awareness, and General Awareness. So lets see the IBPS RRB PO Mains Exam Analysis 5 November 2017
The topics in different sections are as under:
Quantitative Aptitude:
There were total 40 questions. 4 Data Interpretation sets were asked.– pie chart (2 pie charts were given – moderate), bar graph, tabular and caselet. Two DIs were difficult while two were moderate. In number series, odd one was to be found. Some word problems were doable but some were very tricky and time consuming. Data sufficiency was of difficult level. The overall section was moderate-difficult.

Reasoning:
There were total 40 questions. There were 4 sets of puzzles. These were based on – linear arrangement (persons sitting facing north), square sitting arrangement, month and dates based, and one more puzzle. Machine Input/Output Question asked was of moderate level and was doable.
Data sufficiency was based on two statements, and was of moderate level – based on circular arrangement, floor puzzle arrangement, ranking based, coding and 1 more.

English Language:
IBPS RRB also changed the pattern of questions in English Section. Cloze test asked was of new type. Two types were there as:
1. For each blank, 4 options were there, and 5th was all fit the blank. From 4 options, option was to be chosen which DOES NOT fit the blank.
2. In 1 paragraph, 3 blanks were given and there options were phrase based (not single word based).
One new type was finding the opposite pair. Example: One event was given followed by 5 options, and one option was to be chosen which tells the opposite of given event (unfavoured one).
Sentence Improvement was also asked, in which 1 statement was given followed by same statement differently (grammar and punctuation) in 5 options.
