prise means : use force in order to move, move apart, or open (something)
means the cook (person) used his power to open the container box

prise open me to open repeat hogya na?
the cook tried to prise the coantainer.. it may also means that the cook tried to move the container from one place to another… so to make it clear the use of open is necessary
