    I II
    (a) off (d) genuine
    (b) across (e) pseudo
    (c) in (f) sincere
    a-d & b-f
    b-e & c-d
    a-f & a-d
    c-e & b-f
    b-d & b-f
    Option C
‘cut off from’ is an idiomatic expression which means to cause (someone or something) to be separate or alone from (someone or something). The phrasal verb ‘cut across’ (to go straight from one side of an area to another instead of going around) & ‘cut in’ (to interrupt what someone is saying by saying something yourself) are inappropriate in the context of the sentence. So, the only possible option in the first blank is ‘off’. The sentence in the first half mentions ‘while some joked’ which implies the other part to present a contrary reaction. With respect to concerns, both ‘genuine’ and ‘sincere’ fit in the second bank appropriately.

    a) unearthly: unnatural or mysterious, especially in a disturbing way.
    b) proverbial: used when you are describing something with an expression from a proverb.
    c) vastly: to a very great extent; immensely.
    d) syndicate: a group of individuals or organizations combined to promote a common interest.

    (c) joining (f) form
    a-f & b-e
    a-f & c-d
    a-d & c-e
    c-f
    a-d
    Option A
We need to find the perfect set of words that can fit both the blanks and make the given sentence grammatically and meaningfully correct. We need a verb in the first blank and a verb in the second one too. Here the word ‘confluence’ can be used as a verb although it has the same noun form. Here it means ‘to meet’. So, the word ‘meet’ also 􀁽ts the first blank. Now, if we look for the word in the second blank, we can see that both ‘form’ and ‘create’ can be used to fill the second blank. However, ‘formation’ is the noun form and cannot be used.

    a-d & c-f
    c-f
    b-f
    Option E
We need to find the perfect set of words that can fit both the blanks and make the given sentence grammatically and meaningfully correct. We need a verb in the first blank. Here ‘sanctioned’ is the only word that can fit the first blank. ‘Sanction’ means ‘to give official permission or approval for an action’.
In the second blank ‘incurring’ can be used only. The word ‘incur’ means become subject to (something unwelcome or unpleasant) as a result of one’s own behaviour or actions. The other words if used in the second blank makes no sense.
Both the words ‘acrimonious’ and ‘acrid’ mean ‘bitter’ or ‘toxic’.

    a-d, b-f
    Option C
We need to find the perfect set of words that can fit both the blanks and make the given sentence grammatically and meaningfully correct. We need a verb in the first blank and the second blank.
The word ‘eyeing’ here actually means ‘considering’ or ‘having interest in something’. The word ‘circumvolution’ means ‘a winding movement, especially of one thing round another.’
The word ‘resolving’ means ‘deciding firmly on a course of action.’
In case of the second blank, the word ‘building’ can only fit in the given blank and render a proper sense to the sentence. The other two words do not fit the second blank.

To park their money in large-cap stocks, in the so-called chase for quality.
To the lull in real estate sales, the sand mining ban in some parts of the country and surging input cost pressure.

    none of these
    Option D
The given sentence wants to convey that if you had a conversation with a friend, this would suddenly make you think about how your parents loved travelling but you had never noticed that before because they would never do that a lot while you stayed with them. This shows their love and affection towards you.
