Mixed English Questions Set 17 (New Pattern)

This set contains New Pattern English Questions for various upcoming exams like SBI PO, IBPS PO, Clerk and insurance exams.

Direction (1-5) : The following questions contain five sentences as options. Find one sentence which does not relate to the central theme of the passage made by remaining four sentences.

  1. A) Young people have always been more idealistic than their elders, and more liberal too.
    B) Even when equal treatment is not enshrined in law, the middle class people tend to support it.
    C) In the 1960s baby-boomers spearheaded the social revolution that liberalised values across Western countries.
    D) What were then fringe issues, such as equality for women and racial minorities, are now social norms in most rich countries. And even in places where they are not, young people espouse such values.
    E) However, as a new survey reveals, there is one area where young people’s views are not so progressive: free speech.

    I think answer should 2nd as ist one is talking about downfall of metal
    Please clarify team???

    1. Yes its correct.
      1st one is talling about the downfall of metal.
      And all other sentences are talking about exchange rates of dollar or how the dollar is growing etc
