NIACL AO Prelims Exam 2016 Analysis

Hello Aspirants

NIACL conducted its AO Prelims Exam on 17th December, 2016. The overall exam was easy to moderate. There were 3 sections as Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and English. 

The level of exam was somewhat less than the IBPS PO Prelim Exam. The cutoff depends upon the number of vacancies and as well as how all the students performed in exam. 

 

The topics in different sections are as under:

Quantitative Aptitude:

The section was moderate overall. There were 35 questions in this section. The topics asked were:

  • Approximation – 5 Questions
  • Number series  – 5 Questions
  • Quadratic Equations – 5 Questions 
  • Data Interpretation  – 2 sets (5 questions each)
  • Miscellaneous topics like Partnership, Profit/Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, CI/SI, Ratio and Proportion, Ages, Time & Work, etc.  – 10 Questions  

Reasoning:

The section was moderate. Again this section also contained 35 questions. The topics asked were:

  • Syllogism – 5 Questions 
  • Inequalities – 5 Questions 
  • Coding/Decoding – 5 Question
  • Arrangements and Puzzles – 3 sets (5 questions each)
  • Miscellaneous (Direction, blood relation, ranking, etc)– 5 Questions

English:

The section was moderate to difficult carrying 30 questions in total. The exams have now increased the level of English section so one should prepare accordingly. The topics asked were:

  • Reading Comprehension –  10 Questions
  • Cloze test – 10 Questions
  • Error correction– 10 Questions
