    = [8300 × 𝑥 × 4]/100 – [8300 × 𝑦 × 4]/ 100 = 700
    = 33200x-33200y =700×100
    = 33200(x – y) = 70000
    x-y = 2.10%

     

  7. Mrs. Mary decided to distribute pens among A,B,C and D in the ratio 3:4:6:5 resp. But mistakenly she distributed pens among them in the ratio of 5:8:4:7 resp., So, A and B got 3 and 8 pens more resp. The number of pens received by D is what % more than the number of pens she was expected to receive ?

    Number of pens expected to receive by D = 5*4 = 20
    Number of pens received by D = 7*3 = 21
    Required% = (21-20)/20*100% = 5%
