Directions(1-5): Find the value of “?” in the following questions.

  1. (26.712)^2 * 6.001 / 6.32 + (7.43)^3 + 40.02 = ? – 210.75
    1385
    1515
    1352
    1100
    1212
    Option A
    (26.712)^2 * 6.001 / 6.32 + (7.43)^3 + 40.02 = ? – 210.75 => (27)^2 * 6 / 6 + (7.4)^3 + 40 = ? – 211
    => ? = 729 + 405 + 40 + 211
    => ? = 1385

  2. 0.5% of 4789.823 + 0.7% of 330.732 = ?
    20
    15
    11
    26
    21
    Option D
    0.5% of 4789.823 + 0.7% of 330.732 = ?
    => ? = 4790/200 + 331/100 * (0.7)
    => ? = 24 + 2 = 26

  3. (8835.95)^1/2 – (373248)^1/3 = ? – (238328)^1/3
    92
    71
    65
    84
    77
    Option D
    (8835.95)^1/2 – (373248)^1/3 = ? – (238328)^1/3
    => (8836)^1/2 – (373248)^1/3 = ? – (238328)^1/3
    => 94 – 72 = ? – 62
    => ? = 84

  4. 45% of 330 + (?)^1/2 = 34% of 765.23 – 9.8% of 450
    4005
    4556
    4050
    4120
    4300
    Option B
    45% of 330 + (?)^1/2 = 34% of 765.23 – 9.8% of 450
    => 45 * 3.3 + ()^1/2 = 34 * 7.65 – 9.8 * 4.5
    => 148.5 + ()^1/2 = 260.1 – 44.1
    => ? = 67.5 * 67.5 == 4556

  5. (5.3 + 6.2 + 7.1)(3.2 + 4.2 + 5.1) = ? + 12.23
    210.3
    220.27
    199.5
    228.51
    200.5
    Option B
    (5.3 + 6.2 + 7.1)(3.2 + 4.2 + 5.1) = ? + 12.23
    => ? = 18.6 * 12.5 -12.23 = 232.5 – 12.23
    => ? = 220.27

  6. Directions(6-10): Study the given pie-charts carefully and answer the questions
    given below:
    The pie-charts show the major expenses in agriculture under different heads in year 2000-
    01 and 2010-11.

    Year 2000-01

    Year 2010-11

  7. In terms of actual expenditure on electricity and diesel, the increase in year 2010-11, as compared to 2000-01, was roughly.
    5.35 times
    2.41 times
    3.50 times
    2.52 times
    1.57 times
    Option E
    Expenses on Electricity and Diesel in 2000- 01
    = 8% of 15432 = 1234.56 crore
    And in the year 2010-11 expenses = 9% of 35349 = 3181.41 crore
    Difference of expenses on the same = 3181.41 – 1234.56= 1946.81 crore
    Number of times of increase = 1946.81/1234.56
    = 1.57 times

  8. The expenditure on fertilisers and feed in year 2000-01 amounted to approximately.
    7070 crore
    8500 crore
    7253 crore
    7003 crore
    6653 crore
    Option C
    Expenses on Fertilisers in 2000-01 = 17% of 15432
    = 2623.44 crore
    And that on Feed in 2000-01 = 30% of 15432 = 4629.6 crore
    Total = 2623.44 + 4629.6 = 7253.04 crore
    == 7253 crore

  9. The expenditure on feed in year 2010-11, as compared to that in year 2000-01, was approximately.
    70%
    50%
    66%
    70%
    48%
    Option E
    Expenses on Feed in 2000-01 = Rs 4552.44 crore
    And the expenses on Feed in 2010-11 = 19% of 35349 = Rs 6716.31 crore
    % increase = ( 6716.31 – 4552.44)/4552.44 * 100 = 47.53 == 48%

  10. The actual expenditure on fertilisers in year 2010-11exceeded the expenditure on the same in year 2000-01 by approximately.
    3 times
    2 times
    6 times
    4 times
    5 times
    Option A
    Expenses on fertilisers in the year 2000- 01
    = 17% of 15432 = 2623.44 crore == 2623 crore
    Now, the expenses on fertilisers in the year 2010-11 = 29% of 35349 = 10251.21 crore == 10251 crore
    Difference = 10251 -2623 = 7628 crore
    Number of times = 7628/2623 = 2.9 == 3 times

  11. The total expenditure on electricity and diesel in year 2010-11 exceeded similar expenditure in year 2000-01 by approximately.
    1510 crore
    1000 crore
    1150 crore
    1900 crore
    1947 crore
    Option E
    Expenditure on electricity and diesel in the year 2000-01 = 8% of 15432 = Rs.1234.56 crore
    And expenditure on electricity and diesel in the year 2010-11 = 9% of 35349 = Rs. 3181.41 crore
    Exceeding amount = 3181.41 – 1234.56 = 1946.85 crore == 1947 crore
