    1560
    Option A
    4734.96-3454.03 -1612.86 = ? – 1611.43
    =>? = 1280

  2. (345/51 )* (200/20)*(56/61)*(971/251)= ?

    235
    280
    Option D
    ? = (345/51 )* (200/20)*(56/61)*(971/251)
    => ? = 235

    Option C

    (168.95)1/2 *(323.76)1/2*(675.8)1/2*(441.05)1/2
    =13*18*26*21 =127764

    2599
    Option D
    (53.125)^2 + (49.23)^2 – (83.625 * 3.125) = ?
    => ? = (53)2 + (49)2 – (84*3)
    => ? =2809 + 2401 – 252
    => ? = 4960

    Option E
    161.02% of 121.76 + 149.67% of 1251.75 = ?
    => ? = (161/100)*121 + (150/100)*1252
    => ? = 2074

  6. Two places are A and B are 200 kms from each other. A train leaves from A for B at the same time another train leaves B for A. The two trains meet at the end of 8 hours. If the train travelling from A to B travels 10km/hr faster than the other. Find the speed of the faster train?
    17.5 km/hr.
    20 km/hr.
    15.2 km/hr.
    10.5 km/hr.
    12.5 km/hr.
    Option A
    speed of trains = s + 10 and s km/hr.
    At some P distance from A both train will meet. So, 8 = P/(s +10) = (200 – P)/s
    Solve both equation, we get s = 7.5
    so faster train speed 17.5 km/hr

  7. Manoj borrowed a certain sum from Anuj at a certain rate of simple interest for 2 years. He lent this sum to Rakesh at the same rate of interest compounded annually for the same period. At the end of two years, he received Rs. 4200 as compound interest but paid Rs. 4000 only as simple interest. Find the rate of interest?
    8%
    5%
    10%
    24%
    15%
    Option C
    Rate of interest = R%
    Time = 2 years
    4000=[X x R x 2 ]/100 [simple interesr formula] RX=200,000………….(1)
    compound interest= P(1+r/n)^nt
    => X[1+ (R/100)]^2= X+4200
    after solving and using value of RX
    we get R=10%

  8. Two pipes M and N can fill a tank in 30 and 45 minutes respectively. If both the pipes were open for few minutes after N was closed and the tank was full in 25 minutes, find the time for pipe N was open.
    5.5 m
    6 m
    4.5 m
    2.5 m
    7.5 m
    Option E
    X(1/30+1/45) + 1/30(25-x) = 1
    =>x/45+25/30 =1
    => x/45 = 5/30 =1/6
    => x=45/6
    => x=7.5 m

  9. The sum of ages of family members (both children and parents) is 360 years.The total ages of children and parents are in the ratio 2:1 and the ages of wife and husband are in the ratio 5:7.What will be the age of husband?
    70 years
    50 years
    30 years
    60 years
    40 years
    Option A
    Sum of ages is 360 years.
    The ratio of children and parents ages is 2:1.
    Total age of parents = 360 x 1 / 3 = 120 years
    Ratio of wife and husband age is 5:7.
    Therefore, the age of husband = 120 x 7 / 12 = 70
    Hence the age of husband is 70 years.

  10. The average price of 10 books is Rs. 12 while the average price of 8 of these books is Rs. 11.75. Of the remaining two books, if the price of one book is 60% more than the price of the other, what is the price of each of these two books?
    Rs.10 & Rs.15
    Rs.15 & Rs.20
    Rs.14 & Rs.25
    Rs. 10 & Rs.16
    None of these
    Option D
    Total price of the two books
    = Rs. [(12 x 10) –(11.75 x 8)] = Rs. (120 – 94) = Rs. 26
    Let the price of one book be Rs.x
    Then, the price of other book = Rs. (x + 60% of x )= x + (3/5)x= (8/5)x
    so, x +(8/5)x=26 , x=10
    The prices of the two books are Rs. 10 and Rs.16
