400 km630 km350 km450 km300 kmOption B
Time taken by car = 528/66 = 8 hours
Time =15 hours (given) Speed = 66 – 24 = 42 kmph
Distance covered by truck = Speed × Time
= 15 × 42 = 630 km - A water tank in the form of a cuboid has its base 20 m long, 7 m wide and 10 m deep. Initially, the tank is full but later when water is taken out of it, the level of water in the tank reduces by 2 m. Find the volume of the water left in the tank.

Given that,
Volume of the tank = l × b × h = 20 × 7 × (10 – 2) = 1120 cm^3 - Mixture of milk and water has been kept in two separate containers. Ratio of milk to water in one of the containers is 5 : 1 and that in the other container is 7 : 2. In that ratio the mixture of these two containes should be added together, so that the quantity of milk in the new mixture may become 80% ?
6:71:32:34:58:9Option C
Percentage of milk in first mixture = (5/6)*100 = (250/3)%
Percentage of milk in second mixture = (7/9)*100 = (700/9)%
Using Alligation method,

Required ratio = 2:3 - The population of a variety of tiny bush in an experimental field increased by 10% in the first year, increased by 8% in the second year but decreased by 10% in the third year. If the present number of bushes in the experimental field is 26730, then what was the number of variety of bushes in the beginning ?
2000023500212002450025000Option E
Let the beginning of the year variety of bushes is x, then x × 1.1 × 1.08 × 0.9 = 26730
=> x = 26730/(1.1*1.08*0.9)
= 25000 - Ravi borrowed some money at the rate of 4 p.c.p.a. for the first three years, at the rate of 8 p.c.p.a. for the next two years and at the rate of 9 p.c.p.a. for the period beyond 5 years. If he pays a total simple interest of Rs 19,550 at the end of 7 years, how much money did he borrow ?
Rs. 40000Rs. 42500Rs. 62320Rs. 22400Rs. 50500Option B
If the amount borrowed be Rs. x,
then (x*4*3)/100 + (x*8*2)/100 + (x*9*2)/100 = 19550
=> 12x + 16x + 18x = 1955000
=> 46x = 1955000
=> x = 1955000/46
=> Rs. 42500
