    B) 80%
    C) 50%
    D) 60%
    E) 90%
    View Answer

    Option B
    Solution:
    Number of students in school D = 324000 * (80/360) = 72000
    Number of passed students in school D = 72000 *(5/10) = 36000

    Required Percentage = (28800 *100 )/36000 = 80%
  2. How much percent of students are absent  from all six schools ?
    A)  15.06%
    B)  13.26%
    C)  13.05%
    D)  14.88%
    E)  17.47%
    View Answer
     Option C
    Solution:
    Number of students in school A = 324000 * (60/360) = 54000
    Number of absent students in school A = 54000 *(1/6) = 9000
    Number of students in school B = 324000 *(48/360) = 43200
    Number of absent students in school B = 43200 *(1/8) = 5400
    Number of students in school C = 32400 *(52/360) =  46800
    Number of absent  students in school C = 46800 *(2/13)= 7200
    Number of students in school D = 32400 *(80/360) = 72000
    Number of absent  students in school D = 72000 *( 1/10)= 7200
    Number of students in school E = 324000 *(45/360) = 40500
    Number of absent  students in school E  = 40500 *(1/9) = 4500
    Number of students in school F  = 324000 *(75/360) = 67500
    Number of absent  students in school F  = 67500 *(2/15) = 9000
    Required Percentage = (9000 + 5400 + 7200 + 7200 + 4500 +9000) *100 / 324000 = 13.05%

    A) 55 :64
    B) 52 : 45
    C) 44:65
    D) 49:51
    E) None of these
    View Answer
      Option C
    Solution:
Number of students in school C = 46800
Number of absent students in school C = 7200
    Number of present students in school C  = 46800 – 7200 = 39600
Number of students in school F = 67500
Number of absent students in school F = 9000
    Number of present students in school F = 67500 – 9000 = 58500
    Required ratio = 39600 : 58500 = 44 : 65
  4. What is the difference between passing percentage of students in school B and school E ?
    A) 6.9%
    B) 7.2%
    C) 6.2%
    D) 6.5%
    E) None of these
    View Answer
      Option A
    Solution:
    Passed  % of students in school B = (3/8) * 100 =  75/2
    Passed % of students in school E = (4/9) * 100 = 400 /9
    Required difference =( 400 / 9) – (75/2 ) = 125/18 =  6.9%
  5. Number of passed students is how much percent more /less  than the number of failed students from all schools ?
    A) 15.47%

    C) 14.38%
    D) 15.74%
    E) 13.66%
    View Answer
      Option C
    Solution:
    Number of passed students in school A = 324000 * (60/360)*(3/6) = 27000
    Number of failed students  in school A = 32400 *(60/360)*(2/6) = 18000
    Number of passed students in school B = 324000 * (48/360)*(3/8)=16200
    Number of failed students  in school B = 324000 * (48/360)*(4/8)=21600
    Number of passed students in school C = 324000 * (52/360)*(6/13)=21600
    Number of failed students  in school C = 324000 * (52/360)*(5/13) = 18000
    Number of passed students in school D = 324000 * (80/360)*(5/10)=36000
    Number of failed students  in school D  = 324000 * (80/360)*(4/10)=28800
    Number of passed students in school E = 324000 * (45/360)*(4/9)=18000
    Number of failed students  in school E  = 324000 * (45/360)*(4/9)=18000
    Number of passed students in school  F = 324000 * (75/360)*(7/15)=31500
    Number of failed students  in school F = 324000 * (75/360)*(6/15)=27000
Required percentage = [No. of passed students of all schools – No. of failed students of all schools]/ no. of failed students of all schools
    = [(150300 – 131400 )/131400]*100 = 14.38%

Directions (6-10): In the pie- chart data is given about the number of students  who are studying in different schools in year 2016. In the table data is given about the passed, failed and absent students. Study the data carefully and answer the related questions given below.

    A) 10 : 13
    B) 15 : 16
    C) 12 : 18
    D) 18 : 16
    E) None of these
    View Answer

    Option B
    Solution:
    Total number of boys in college A = 3500 * (100 /(100 – 30)) = 5000

    Number of boys who failed  in college A = 5000 – 3500 = 1500
Number of girls who passed in college A =  2400
    Total number of girls in college A =  2400 *  (100/60) = 4000
    Number of girls who failed in college A = 4000 – 2400 = 1600
    Required ratio = 1500 : 1600 = 15 : 16

  2. Number of girls who passed is what percent of the number of failed students in college D ?
    A) 48.24%
    B) 45.78%
    C) 47.62%
    D) 49.52%
    E) 42.67%
    View Answer

      Option C
    Solution:
    Total number of boys in college D = 7000 * (100/ 100 -30) = 10000

    Total number of girls in college D = 5000 * (100 / 100 – 40) = 12500
    Total number of students in college D = 10000 + 12500 = 22500
    Total number of failed students in College D = 22500 – (7000+5000)
    = 10500
    Required percentage = (5000/ 10500 ) * 100 = 47.62%
  3. What is the difference between the number of boys in E and the number of girls in C?
    A) 4000
    B) 10000
    C) 8000
    D) 6000
    E) 11000
    View Answer

    Option A
    Solution:
    Number of students in E = 13000 * (100/100 -50) = 26000

    Number of girls  in E = 6000 * (100/100-40) = 10000
    Number of boys in E = 26000 – 10000 = 16000
    Number of students in C = 12000 * (100 / 100- 40) = 30000
    Number of boys in C = 9000 * (100/100-50) = 18000
    Number of girls in C = 30000 – 18000 = 12000
    Required difference = 16000 – 12000 = 4000
  4. Number of boys is what percent of the number of students in college B ?
    A) 52.74%
    B) 53.55%

    Total number of  boys in college B = 16000 – 7500 = 8500
    Required percent = (8500*100)/16000 = 53.12%

    C) 56000
    D) 31500
    E) 42000
    View Answer

    Option  D
    Solution:
Number of boys in college A = 5000

Number of girls in college  A = 4000
Total number of students in college A = 9000
Number of boys in college D = 10000
Number of girls in college D = 12500
