The timings of departure of their trains were- 7 a.m., 11 a.m., 1.30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 5.20 p.m., again not necessarily in the same order but on the same day. It is also known that: Steve, who boarded the train to Chennai, boarded the train just before the train to Delhi. Departure of Prakash’s train was at 1.30 p.m., and it was to neither Kanpur nor Pune. The train to Kanpur was just after the train to Pune, and neither of the trains was the first train to depart. The departure of Jai’s train was before that of Amit’s train, but not to Delhi. Jai’s train was not the first train to depart. If departure of Rahul’s train was before that of the train to Delhi, then the train to Lucknow was not before Amit’s train.
