    A) 200%
    B) 220%
    C) 150%
    D) 300%
    E) 100%
    View Answer
      Option A
    Solution:
    Petrol engine cars in state-III
    =(3/8)[(700*32)/100] = 84
    Diesel engine cars in state-I
    =(3/7)[(700*14)/100] = 42
    Required % = (84/42)*100 = 200%

    C) 80
    D) 55
    E) 62
    View Answer
      Option B
    Solution:
    Total cars in state-III = (700*32)/100 = 224
    Petrol engine cars in state-II = (9/14)[(700*28)/100] = 126
    Difference =224 – 126 = 98
  3. What is the difference between the number of diesel engine cars in state-II and the number of petrol engine cars in state-IV?

    =(5/14)[(700*28)/100] = 70
    Petrol engine cars in state- IV
    =(1/2)[(700*26)/100] = 91
    Difference = 91 – 70 = 21
  4. If 25% of diesel engine cars in state-III are AC and remaining cars are non-AC, what is the number of diesel engine cars in state-III which are non-AC?
    A) 100
    B) 80
    C) 105
    D) 95
    E) 115
    View Answer
      Option C
    Solution:
    Diesel engine cars in state-III which are AC = (5/8)[(700*32)/100] = (140*25)/100 *(25/100) = 35
    Non-AC diesel engine cars= 140-35 = 105
