A)  177
B) 174
C) 170
D) 189
E) 169
  Option B
Solution:
Number of female students enrolled for Linux course
= [(1500*42)/100] = 630
Female students enrolled from college Q = [(630*120)/100] = 126
Total students enrolled from college Q = [(1500*20)/100] = 300
Number of male students = 300 – 126 = 174
3. What is the difference between the total number of students who have enrolled for course C++ and SQL together from college S and the total number of students who have enrolled for the same courses together from college R?
A) 190
B) 200

Total number of students enrolled for courses C++ and SQL :
College S = [(2000*35)/100] + [(1800*16)/100] = 700 + 288 = 988
College R = [(2000*19)/100] + [(1800*28)/100] = 380 + 504 = 884
Required Difference = 988 – 884 = 104
4. Out of the total number of students who have enrolled for C++, 60% were able to pass the exam. If the respective ratio between the number of students from colleges P,Q,R and S who were able to pass the exam for C++ was 3 : 4 : 2 : 3, what is the number of students who were able to pass the exam for C++ from college Q?
A) 332
B) 450
C) 400
D) 398
E) 510
  Option C
Solution:
Number of students who are able to pass the course for C++
= [(2000*60)/100] = 1200
P:Q:R:S = 3:4:2:3
Sum of the terms of ratio = 3+4+2+3 = 12
Successful students from college Q = (4/12)*1200 = 400
5. What is the respective ratio between the total number of students who have enrolled for course on JAVA and SQL together from college P and the total number of students who have enrolled for the same courses together from college S?
A) 5:4
B) 3:2
C) 7:9
D) 6:7
E) 2:3
  Option B
Solution:
Number of students enrolled for courses JAVA and SQL from college P = [(2400*27)/100] + [(1800*24)/100] = 648 + 432 = 1080
Number of students enrolled in these courses from college S
=[(2400*18)/100] + [(1800*16)/100] = 432 + 288 = 720
Required  ratio = 1080 : 720 = 3 : 2

Directions(6-10):
Study the following table and answer the given questions:
Data related to performance of 6 batsman in a tournament:

Note:
I). Strike rate  = (Total runs scored / Total balls faced ) * 100
II). All the given batsman could bat in all the given matches played by them.
III). Few values are missing in the table. A candidate is expected to calculate the missing value, if it is required to answer the given questions, on the basis of the given data and information.
6. Batsman M faced equal number of balls in first 11 matches he played in the tournament and last 11 matches he played in the tournament. If his strike rate in first 11 matches and last 11 matches of the tournament are 83 and 71 respectively. What is the total number of balls faced by him in the tournament?
A) 1800
B) 2000
C) 1600
D) 1000
E) 900
  Option C
Solution:
Let balls faced in first 11 matches be x.
Total runs scored in last 11 matches = (83*x)/100
Total runs scored in last 11 matches = 71x/100
Therefore,
83x/100 + 71x/100 = 22*56
=> x = 800
Total number of balls faced by M in the tournament = 1600
7. The respective ratio between total number of balls faced by O and that by Q in the tournament is 5:3. Total number of runs scored by Q in the tournament is by what percent less than the total number of runs scored by O in the tournament?
A) 10(11/9)
B) 23(11/7)
C) 20(2/11)
D) 23(7/11)
E) 22(1/10)
  Option D
Solution:
Balls faced by batsman O = 900
Balls faced by batsman Q = (900/5)*3 = 540
Total runs scored by batsman O = (110*900)/100 = 990
Toatl runs scored by batsman Q = (140*540)/100 = 756
Required % = [(990-756)/990]*100 = 23(7/11)
8. In the tournament, the total number of balls faced by batsman N is 402 less than the total number of runs scored by him. What is the average number of runs scored by batsman N in the tournament?
A) 66
B) 64
C) 73
D) 88
E) 96
  Option B
Solution:
Total runs scored by batsman N = x (let)
Balls faced = x – 402
Therefore,
x/(x – 402) * 100 = 153.6
=> x = 1152
Required average runs = 1152/18 = 64
9. If the runs scored by R in the last 3 matches of the tournament are not considered , his average runs scored in the tournament will decrease by 9. If the runs scored by R in the 22nd and 23rd match are below 140 and no two scores among these 3 scores are equal, what is the minimum possible runs scored by R in the 24th match?
A) 70
B) 65
C) 55
D) 74
E) 68
  Option B
Solution:
Total runs scored by R in the last three matches
= 24 * 51 – 21 * 42  = 342
Maximum runs possible in 22nd match = 139
Maximum runs possible in 23rd match = 138
Minimum score in 24th match = 342 – 139 – 138 = 65
10. What is the number of matches played by batsman P in the tournament?
A) 30
B) 22
C) 28
D) 39
E) 48
  Option C
Solution:
Let the number of matches played by P be x.
Therefore ,
(36x/1200)*100 = 84
=> x = 28

Number of female students enrolled for Linux course
= [(1500*42)/100] = 630

now I will calculate like

20% gils ne college Q se linux mai enroll kiya h = 630*20/100 = 126

total students of clg Q out of 1500 is 1500*20/100 = 300

so male = 300-126 = 174

hope it helps
