Directions (1 – 5): Answer the questions on the basis of the information given below.

There are 10 people – A, B, C, D, E, F, P, Q, R and S who stay on 4 floors (numbered 1 to 4) of a building. There are three flats on each of the four floors out of which two flats are vacant.
The flats are numbered 1, 2 and 3 on each of the floors and are left to right on the floor respectively. Flat no. 1 of floor no. 2 is exactly above the flat no. 1 of floor no. 1 and so on.

A lives on flat no. 1 of any floor. Flat just above the flat of A is empty. There is a gap of 1 floor between the floors of A and S. S lives on one of the floors below A. P lives on same floor as S. P lives immediate to the left of S. B lives on 4th floor. He shares the floor with E. The flat to the left of Q is empty. Q lives just above R. D lives on flat no. 2 of any floor. C and R share same floor. R lives on same flat no. as B. F does not live immediately below C.

Directions (6 – 10): Answer the questions on the basis of the information given below.

A country’s Prime Minister has 8 scheduled meetings in the month of March and July of same year. There are 4 meetings in each month. The meetings are scheduled on 1st, 10th, 14th and 26th of both months. The meetings are scheduled in different countries – France, Nepal, China, USA, Singapore, UK, Indonesia, and Russia in any order. All the meetings are scheduled for different number of days from 1 to 8. If the meeting is scheduled on 1st, then that day will be counted, and same for all dates.

The meeting on 10th July is for 3 days. The number of days for the meeting in Russia is less than the number of days for meeting started on 10th July. There is 1 meeting scheduled after China. The total number of days allotted to the meetings in France and USA is 8. There is no meeting between the meetings in France and USA. The meetings in China and France are not on same dates. The meeting in USA is on 1oth of any month. There are 2 meetings scheduled between the meetings in Singapore and the one scheduled for 5 days. The meeting in Singapore is before the meeting scheduled for 5 days. The meeting in Singapore and the one scheduled for 7 days is on same date. The meeting in USA is before the meeting in Russia. The meeting in UK is scheduled for 4 days. The total number of days allotted to the meetings in Indonesia and Russia is 8. The meeting which is scheduled for 1 day is in March.

    Arrangement:
    The meeting on 10th July is for 3 days. The number of days for the meeting in Russia is less than the number of days for meeting started on 10th July. There are 2 meetings scheduled after China. The total number of days allotted to the meetings in France and USA is 8. There is 1 meeting between the meetings in France and USA. The meeting in USA is on 1oth of any month.
    After this we get 3 arrangementsNow since USA on 10th, so maximum of 4 days can be allotted to USA because next meeting is on 14th, So– 3 already on 10th July, 4 cannot be because 4+4 = 8, 2 meetings for 4 days not possible. So in 1st 2 arrangements days for USA is either 2 or 1.

    There is 1 meeting between the meetings in France and USA. sir please explain but in answer part it is given consecutively as france march 1 and usa march 10

      For Russia is less than 3. So 2 or 1.
      Then for US also we get 1 or 2.
      U get this point that why US is 1 or 2 in1st 2 possibilities ?

      After this . Indonesia, 5 and 7.

      C and R share same floor – if they on floor 3, then Q will have top be on floor 2, and then left of Q cannot be kept empty

    In the first Arrangement (given: B lives on 4th floor. He shares the floor with E.) Why can’t B be in the 2nd Flat & E be in the 3rd Flat.??

          These are for both.
          The difference is in pre you do the simple ones and leave these type.
          In mains this is the starting level so you have to solve these.
