India emerges as biggest source for digital talent: Survey

According to the Capgemini and LinkedIn survey, India has the highest proportion of digital talent with 76 percent among the countries surveyed, compared to the global average of 56 percent.

  • India is followed by Italy at 66 percent, Spain at 65 percent, UK at 62 percent, the Netherlands 61 percent and the US 55 percent, the survey added.

Virat Kohli becomes fastest to reach 9000 ODI runs, a century

India skipper Virat Kohli became the fastest to reach 9000 ODI runs, taking just 194 innings to achieve the feat. He achieved the feat even as he scored his 32nd century in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) against New Zealand in Kanpur at the Green Park stadium.

  • Kohli also became the first batsman to amass 2000 runs in international cricket in 2017.

Shuttler Srikanth wins French Open title

Star Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth has defeated Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto in straight games to win the men’s singles title at the French Open Superseries, becoming the first-ever Indian shuttler to win 4 Superseries in a year.

  • With this he also became the first Indian to win the Indonesia Super Series.
  • He has also won Indonesia Open, Australian Open and Denmark Open this year.

Patna Pirates grabs third successive PKL title

Patna Pirates scripted history, when beat the Gujarat Fortunegiants 55-38 to clinch its third successive Pro Kabaddi League title at Chennai’s Jawarharlal Nehru Indoor stadium.

England lift their first-ever FIFA Under-17 World Cup

England have lifted their first-ever FIFA Under-17 World Cup. In the final played at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on 28th October, England produced a memorable come-from-behind performance to outplay European Champions Spain 5-2.
