    3yrs ago total age of 5members 5*31=155
    At the time of birth of new born baby the total age of family 155+ (2*5)=165.
    The present total age of family 165+ (1*6) =171

    View Answer
    Option C
    Solution:

    10yrs ago , the average age of 25 employees=45.
    The present average age of all the employees=45+10=55
    Total age of all the employees =25*55=1375
    From the present age after 1 yrs the MD is appointed.then at present the age of MD is 53(54-1).
    MD age difference is 60-53=7
    The actual total age of all employees =1375-7=1368.

    A,B,C,D weight 80*4=320kg
    Then D weight 320-252=68kg.
    And E’s weight=68+3=71kg.
    B,C,D,E weight 79*4=316kg.
    A,B,C,D weight- B,C,D,E weight=320-316=4kg
    A-E=4kg
    A-71=4==>A=75kg.

    Total marks =150+150=300
    40% of 150 + x% of 150 = 50% of 300
    60+ x/100*150=150
    X*3/2=90==>x=60%
  8. The average price of 10 box is Rs. 12 while the average price of 8 of these box is Rs. 11.75. Of the remaining two box, if the price of one box is 60% more than the price of the other, what is the price of each of these two box?

    C) Rs 10 and Rs 24
    D) Rs 20 and Rs 16
    E) None
    View Answer
    Option A
    Solution:

    Total price of the two books = Rs. [(12 x 10) – (11.75 x 8)]
    = Rs. (120 – 94) = Rs. 26
    Let the price of one book be Rs.x
    Then, the price of other book = Rs. (x + 60% of x )
    = x + (3/5)x= (8/5)x
    =x +(8/5)x=26
    =13x=26*5==> x=10
    The prices of the two books are Rs. 10 and Rs. 16
