In Q.3. “find time for the peace and leisure which are essential for literary results.”
As “that” and “which” are used for restrictive and nonrestrictive clauses, correct phrase should be like “find time for the peace and leisure that are essential for literary results.” instead of “the peace will be replaced by that peace and leisure which are essential for literacy results.(relative pronoun)” where use of both relative pronouns seems unnecessary.
In Q.4. “the comparative religious tolerance, which was largely due to the queen’s influence.” I don’t find any infinitive to split here but the phrase “due to”, which needs a noun to modify and is usually preceded by forms of ‘to be’ is both absent here. I wonder phrase ‘because of’ could be used here in place of ‘due to’?
I am not here to prove my point, just want to clear my doubts. Contributing comments are welcome.
