Cutoffs for IBPS RRB Office Assistant

The date for IBPS RRB Office Assistant Prelims isn’t far enough

IBPS RRB Office Assistant will be held on Aug 19, 2018 and there are hardly 11 days left for you to give your best in your preparations. The preparation done right now is important and it will definitely play a vital role in your performance during the exam. Whatever has been your way of preparation till now, the only effective way forward is a systematic preparation. A systematic preparation incorporates three steps:

  1. Taking mock tests on a regular basis
  2. Reviewing the analysis
  3. Working on the weak areas as highlighted in the analysis

Considering the fact that by now you must be thorough with the concepts and shortcuts, you only need to be engaged in a systematic practice. Mock tests are the perfect tool for this.

A quick review of the exam

The exam has two sections: Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Each of these sections has 40 questions of 1 mark which need to be solved in a composite time of 45 minutes. This gives you around 33 seconds for each question. However, be informed that you don’t need to attempt all the questions which gives you little more time per question. Your accuracy need to be on the higher side as there is a negative marking of 0.25 per question wrongly answered in place. Basically you only need to clear the sectional cutoffs and the overall cutoff (of the state for which you applied). The marks of the prelims will not be considered in the final selection.
