IBPS conducted RRB Clerk Main Exam on 18th December, 2016. The overall exam was moderate. There were 5 sections as Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, GA and Computer. The number of questions and maximum marks are as under:
There is different cutoff for different states in RRB Exams so good attempts also differ for different states according to vacancies.
The topics in different sections are as under:
Quantitative Aptitude:
The section was moderate overall. Out of 2 DIs, 1 DI was hard. No number series and approximation questions asked. The topics asked were:
- Quadratic Equations – 5 Questions
- Data Sufficiency – 5 Questions
- Data Interpretation – 2 sets (5 questions each)
- Miscellaneous topics like Partnership, Profit/Loss, Average, Boats & Stream, CI/SI, Ratio and Proportion, Ages, Time & Work, etc. – 20 Questions
Reasoning:
The section was moderate to difficult. No Statement/Assumption questions asked. The topics asked were:

- Coding/Decoding – 5 Questions

Arrangements and Puzzles – 4 sets (5 questions each)

Miscellaneous (Direction, blood relation, ranking, etc)– 5 Questions

The section was difficult carrying. The topics asked were:

- Error correction– 5 Questions

Jumbled Paragraph (find odd one out) – 5 Questions

Sentence Fillers – 5 Questions
General Awareness:
Today no static GK questions asked in exam. Also there was less focus on banking awareness questions too. Mainly Current Affairs questions were asked and that too were from October and November.
Computer:
The section was easy that students could attempt good number of questions.
