    mam?????????

mam i posted the question above.

Question.5. The sands of Mars, which hold the biggest dunes in the solar system, could contain up to 50% snow and ice, a US scientist told the British Association festival of science meeting in Dublin yesterday. The discovery could be of enormous significance. President George Bush has named Mars as the destination for a manned mission in the next 30 years. Nasa and the European Space Agency both plan orbiter missions and robot landings in the next decade. Researchers are also anxious to settle the dispute over whether Mars was ever home to life, and whether microbial life could still endure beneath the soil. Without water, there can be no life.

Which of the following, if true, most strongly supports the view expressed in the passage?
    (1) The planet’s dunes seem to have been deluged by water.
    (2) Sand dunes occur pretty much everywhere on planets.
    (3) Years ago there were meteor showers at these locations on Mars; that indicates potential of finding evidence of life in these sand dunes.
    (4) Landmarks include huge alluvial fans in the sand, river-like drainage patterns, laminated sediments of the kind found on Earth in the dry valleys of Antarctica.
    (5) Mars periodically changes its tilt dramatically, increasing the severity and violence of its winters.

ye jo 5 options hai…isme kaun sa true hai jo above passage ko support karta hai? right???

    1. 4th seems to be correct.
Passage me mars pe kbi life thi ya nhi. Aisa find out karna chahte h.
To agar earth like landmarks vahn milte h to vahn life hgi.
Like yahn dry valleys of Antarctica h. vahn b phr dry ho gya hga

      1. ^^^Jaga^^^....

right…ok…but.. Which of the following, if true, most strongly supports the view expressed in the passage??ye samj mai nai ata ..

        1. U have to let ki ye sare points wrong hai.
Ab vo point find karna hai jo agar true ho jata hai to strongly support krega passage ko.

So ye point jada strong hai. Cz isse pta chal jaega ki mars pe kabi phle life thi ya nhi

mam mujhe is para ka means samja di jiye
The Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had claimed that his budget was “pro-farmer” and “pro-poor,” and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had even stated that the aim was to “double” farmer income in five years. (The farmers who took him seriously would have assumed that he meant this in real terms, namely, adjusting for inflation.) Liberals in government must surely also be cynical; for everyone discounts the official hype that goes with the marketing—packaging, more precisely—of union budgets.

mam jo para post kya hai uska means samja di jiye

        1. 2 cars hai, ek A point pe, dusri B point pe.
dono start karti hai with given speeds

first A to B jati hai, without wasting time dubara A point pe jati hai, fir se B pe, A pe, B pe , and so on – 20 hours tak aise hi karti rhti hai
same as with second car, starts from B, goes to A, then without wasting time, returns to B, then to A – 20 hours tak ye bhi

          1. Purvi

            not that ques mam 🙁

          2. Ohh. I dint see that this para before

mam me is para ka means punch rhi hu

          4. Here pro means some in favor if something.
So the para means ki FM me kha hai ki unka budget farmers n poor k favor me hai and PM ne even kha ki ki aim is to double farmers income.
Jin farmers ne in baton ko seriously le liya hai, unhone assume kar liya hga ki FM ka matlab sahi me yhi hai.
Govt me jo liberal log hai vo b cynical hi hai – means apna benefit hi dhundte hai, everyone disregards with the official hype or publicity of union budget

Two cars start simultaneously from cities A and B, towards B and A respectively, on the same route. Once the two cars reach their destinations they turned around and move towards the other city without any loss of time. The two cars continue shuttling in this manner for exactly 20 hours. If the speed of the car starting from A is 60km/hr and the speed of the car starting from B is 40km/hr and the distance between the two cities is 120 km, find the number of times the two cars cross each other?

      plz solve this ques

      1. no need to do these type of ques, they dont come in exam

    2. in this ques, no particular pattern can be seen

We ll have to count their every meet
1st car takes 2 hours to complete a round, 2nd takes 3 hours

Now in first round, they meet 1st time.
When 2nd car reaches A, 1st car has returned from point B and has reached half way.

Now 2nd car returns from point A. In next 3 hours both reach point B. so here they have met 2 times.

Now both start, 1st car reaches A, it returns, meets 2nd car (4th time), In next two hours. 1st car reches B, 2nd car somewhere in between.
In next two hours, 1st car reaches A, and 2nd car reaches B (meets for 5th time)

count hours, 1st car has drove 10 hrs and they have meet 5 times. so in next 10 hrs, 5 times more.

total 10 times in 20 hrs

mam like jo equation hoti hai na in form
            1/x+2-1/x-4==15/20
            or 1/x+2+2/x+4==12
mam inki quadtaric equation dosnt know how to make
only singn and lcm etc nhi ata baki rest i know

how to convert it these type of sums in quadratic equation and what have to take lcm and what aboubt the + – i wana learn it mam

          9. (1/x) + 2 – (1/x) – 4 = 15/20

equation ye h ya kuch or ??

          10. GRAVITAS~HANKER~NITROUS OXIDE

mam its assume figure i just wana learn way how to convert it into quadratic equation just

          11. ok ok
            equation is 1/(x+2) – 1/(x-4) = 3/4

            in left hand side
            take (x+2) * (x-4) as LCM

            [1 * (x-4) – 1 * (x+2)] / (x+2) * (x-4) = 3/4

            now
            [x – 4 – x – 2] / (x^2 – 2x – 8) = 3/4
            [ – 6] / (x^2 – 2x – 8) = 3/4
            now
            4 * (-6) = 3 (x^2 – 2x – 8)
            4 * (-2) = (x^2 – 2x – 8)

            equation: x^2 – 2x – 8 + 8 = 0
            x^2 – 2x = 0

    is cashless dream or reality
After demonetization , PM Modi has announced to make India cashless . This slogan of PM Modi give digtal india scheme a wholly new dimension , with electronically executed economic transaction and settlement . Making this an immediate and medium term , objective is plucky to say the least since more then 90% of economic transaction held with cash in day today india . the same condition is with other developing countries , while in developed countries more then 90% economic transaction reportedly settled digitally without cash . PM Modi’s government believes that after world beaten software service export , this may take a swift move quickly . The two realities are missed in this over the top discourse . The first one is india is far from being connected enough able to accommodate the digital execution of million of transactions across the country in a day . second is that there is no. of counties , in rural india , in informal economic and among poors which is out of the digital transaction as they have to cross the hurdles.
Those hurdles make them out to access internet . According to the survey of international telecommunication , then no. of internet users in india has raisen from negligible no. to 26% from 1990 to 2015 which is fas less then china (50.3), us (74.5%) , south korea (89.9%). In a recent survey by a ASSOCHAM too reveal that “internet is out of the reach of 950 million indians ” .In india 1600 languages and dialects are also a language barrier .
one of the problem , of cause , that the access of hardware that help individual to access internet. crucial to this is internet backbone that carries digital signals and last mile give that link to users to access internet .India jumped directly to the mobile connectivity before the process of laying the fixed line infrastructure . Slow connectivity and unclear telephonic calls is also a problem . The internet connectivity is very expensive and this may people out of the reach of internet connectivity
Thus , beside language barrier and digital literacy network backbone , slow internet connectivity and huge charges make the prople out of the reach of internet .Without digital base , road of a near cashless economy seems long and journey is likely to be slow and tedious

swiftly wali line bhi uski he hain

    1. For numbers
      take last letter * 4
      so for earth – h is 8 so 8*4 = 32 so &}32 – earth
      and so on

now compare for symbol ‘}’ :

      &}32 earth
      <>}20 – made
      what we see common ??
      letter a at second position
      so } – a

      next compare for $:

      $$76 – lives
      @$32 – with
      what we see in common?
letter i at first or second position – so if i at first position then $ at first position, if i at second position then $ at second position,

      next compare for ]:

      ]<100 – only
      +]76 – fool
letter o at first or second position – so if o at first position then ] at first position, if o at second position then ] at second position,

      next compare for <<:

      <<}56 – rain
=<<20 – now this can be make or tree
but if we compare with rain to find something common, we get =<<20 as tree to make
letter r at first or second position – so if r at first position then << at first position, if r at second position then <>, > and < in the same way

      so

      A – }
      I – $
      O – ]
      R – <>
      L – >
      N – <

Two trains, A and B, start from stations X and Y
towards each other, they take 4 hours 48 minutes and
3 hours 20 minutes to reach Y and X respectively after
they meet if train A is moving at 45 km/hr., then the
speed of the train B is
    (a) 60 km/hr (b) 64.8 km/hr (c) 54 km/hr
    (d) 37.5 km/hr (e) None of these

    1. There is a shortcut for these type of ques. When given time to reach destination after trains meet

      s1/s2 = root of (t2/ t1)

      t1 = 3 hr 20 min = 3 1/3 hrs = 10/3 hrs
      t2 = 4 hrs 48 mins = 4 4/5 hrs = 24/5 hrs
      t2/t1 = 25/36
      So 45/s2 = root of (25/36)

      Solve s2 = 54 km per hr

Three Science classes A, B and C take a Life Science
test. The average score of students of class A is 83. The
average score of students class B is 76. The average
score of class C is 85. The average score of class A and
B is 79 and average score of class B and C is 81. Then
the average score. Of classes A, B and C is
    (a) 80 (b) 80.5 (c) 81
    (d) 81.5 (e) None of these

    1. Let no of students in A B C is x y z resp.

Total score of students in A = 83x
Total score of students in B = 76y
Total score of students in C = 85z
      Total score of students in A and B = 79 (x+y)
      Total score of students in B and C = 82 (y+z)
      Now
      83x + 76y = 79 (x+y)
      And 76y + 85z = 82 (y+z)
Solve these equations and find x and z in terms of y.
      x = 3y/4 and z = 2y
      Now ans will be (83x+76y+85z)/(x+y+z)

y will remain y. Put x and z in terms of y. y will cancel out n u ll get final ans

if the salary of A and B are in ratio 4:5 and their expenses are in ration 6:7 . find the ratio of their saving if B saves a fourth of its salary

    1. salaries – 4x and 5x
      expenses – 6y and 7y
      B saves = 1/4 * 5x
      Also B saves = 5x – 7y
      so 5x – 7y = 5x/4
      Solve, 15x = 28 y ………………(1)

      we have to find
      (5x/4) : [4x – 6y]
Put value of x or y from above (1) and find ratio

A dam has 4 inlet pipes . through the first 3 inlet, the dam can fill in 12 min , throuh the 2 , 3 , 4 pipes it can fill the dam in 15 min , through the 1 and 4 it can fill the dam in 20 mins . How much time it will take to fill the dam by all four pipes

    1. Given:
      1/a + 1/b + 1/c = 1/12 ……………(1)
      1/b + 1/c + 1/d = 1/15 …………………..(2)
      1/a + 1/d = 1/20……………………(3)

Now from 1 n 2, subtract equations we get
      1/a – 1/d = 1/60 ……………………(4)

      add equations 3 n 4, 1/a = 1/30
      from (1), 1/b + 1/c = 1/12 – 1/30 = 1/20 ……………(5)
      we have to find
      1/a + 1/b + 1/c + 1/d
      use (3) and (5)
      1/20 + 1/20 = 1/20

Consider a class of 40 students whose average weight is 40 kgs. m new students join this class whose average weight is n kgs. If it is known that m + n = 50, what is the maximum possible average weight of the class now?
    ans – 40

    1. we have to maximize the avg weight
so maximize the total weight, we can have that with m = n = 25
      so that m+n = 50 and m*n = 625
      if m = 26 and n 24, then m*n = 624 and so on – we ll get smaller values than 625

      now max possible av = [(40*40) + 625]/(40+25)

Vidya leaves the studio every day at 6.00pm to meet salman at 7.00pm at point X stopping anywhere along the way . one day she left the studio at the usual time i.e, 6.00pm and travelled the first half of the distance 3/4 th of her original speed. At what speed must she travel the second half of the distance to reach the point X on time ? 1) 3/2 of usual time 2) 2 times 3) 5/2 times 4 ) 3 times

    1. d = s * t

Vidya has to cover 1/2 distance in 1/2 hour and speed = 3/4 * s
So let she took t1 time
      so 1/2 * d = 3/4 * s * t1
      so t1 = 2d/3s = 2t/3
so this means now next 1/2 distance she has to cover in 1 – 2/3 = 1/3 of t
      so
      1/2 * d = s2 * t/3
      s2 = 3d/2t = 3s/2

      so 3/2 of original speed

    Startup : illusion or success
Startup success does not come instantly , ofcause it doesn’t come from the big announcement .It comes from the dedication to achieve something real . PM Modi ji has launched the startup mission with the aim to create job across the country rather then being a job seeker. He also launched workshop in this regard , but being successful is not possible for everyone ? College students thinks to become millionary so they embrace business ignoring the daunting statistic which contradict this thinking, such as the fact that 80% startup fail within 18 months . Having an idea is easy, but be able to make it something profitable is what seperate failure and success story. Launching any product doesn’t make someone rich overnight , it takes time.
In the value creation economy, if one failed to discover value he hope to create in marketplace, he can not stand or make his place in market . Either he engage in B2B , B2C and B2B2C business or he launch any product , idea ,app , software , hardware etc. To be successful one should discover the idea that create any value to whom he discovered it .
On the other hand many people thinks that providing fund can not give definite success but not providing it can definitely create failure. For being successful one should keep public interest , national interest , regional interest in its idea . Modi ji has porvided all possible resources to startup , but the reality is Rome cannot built in a day.
So it will take time but how much time, that no one knows

Three boys Aman, Bhanu and Chintu decide to run around a circular track. They start at the same time and run in the same direction. Aman runs the fastest and when Aman finishes a lap, it is seen that Chintu is twice as much behind Bhanu as Bhanu is behind Aman. When Aman completes 2 laps, Chintu is the exact same position on the circular track as Bhanu was when Aman finished 1 lap. Find the ratio of the speeds of Aman, Bhanu and Chintu?

    1. Assume the track in 4 parts
      distances as – d/4, d/2, 3d/4, and d

Now when Aman completed 1 lap means d
      Bhanu at – 3d/4
      Chintu at – d/4

Next Aman completes 1 more lap, means 4 more parts – it makes 2d
also given, Chintu this time at same position as Bhanu earlier means at 3d/4

      Now see after 1st roud
Aman covers 4 parts, n Chintu 2 parts (as he reaches the previous position of Bhanu)
by this we can analyze that Bhanu must have covered 3 more parts (between 2 of Chintu and 4 of Aman) so Bhanu covered 3d/4 + 3d/4

      So now, in same time
Aman at 2d, Bhanu at 3d/2 and Chintu – 3d/4
      so ratio

      2d : 3d/2 : 3d/4

      8 : 6 : 3

    Question 1
What is the code for “shouting”

    1. Suraj

      Sol 1:
Symbols depend on the number of alphabets in the word
      5 words- $
      6 words – *
      4 words – %
      3 words &

for 1st and 3rd place i.e numbers use the following method
      take the case of attend
first Alphabet is A .. A is at position 1 , add +2 to it.. so code at 3rd palce for attend is 1+2=3
last alphabet in attend is D.. for last alphabet see the aplhabet in reverse order. D is 23rd in reverse order add +1 to it.. 23+1=24, this will be the 1st number of code
      attend = 24*3

      similarly
      SCREW = S=19+2=21 at last , W=4+1=5 in start
      =5$21

Code 23%8 for=> follow reverse order…8-2=6 means the word will start with F
end with 23-1=22 in reverse =E and the word is of 4 letter
      F_ _ E
now we need to see the options

    2. Suraj

      Sol 2 :
first notice that the alphabet code is the 2nd last alphabet of each word and the number in coding is also related in some way. i.e no of alphabet*1.5

now find out the symbol equivalent using this concept
it depends on starting aplhabet of each word

      T-$
      A- !
      W-&
      F-8
      N-%
      S-/
      etc

using this,, shouting = no. of terms *1.5 = 12

      We have b c f g h w
      So step wise is
      W b h c g f – from last, then first, then second last, then second….

For numbers what I get is:
Take the factors of all numbers
      31 = 1×31
      8= 1×2×2×2
      12 = 1×2×2×3
      14=1×2×7
      22=1×2×11
      24=1×2×2×2×3

Numbers having least factors first means 31.
Next number having 3 factors. But there are two such numbers. 14 and 22

When Cp is 10% less, then CP = 90x
When SP is Rs 25 more then SP = 112x +25
      now given that gain =30%
we have CP,SP and gain%, use the formula and find x

And there are 13 spade cards.
We want face card or spade.
For face card prob. = 12C1/52C1
      For spade, prob. = 13C1/52C1
Now there are also cards which are both face cards and spades, there are 3 such cards so 3/52 for them

After one year A received Rs 1200 as his share of profit out of total profit of Rs. 4200 including his certain commission on total profit since he is a working partner and rest profit is received by B. What is the commission of A as a percentage of the total profit

        1. Ratio is 54 : 90 = 3 : 5
          Let A gets x% commission
So profit after As commission is (1 – x/100)% of 4200
          B gets 4200 – 1200 = 3000
          So
          5/8 * (1 – x/100)% of 4200 = 3000

To understand its meaning you have to refer the complete passage.

When the tail wags the dog, the dog risks losing control of it altogether. The national leadership of the BJP may or may not have been guided by the wishes of a vociferous section of its cadre base in nominating Hindutva firebrand Yogi Adityanath as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. But in so doing it has ceded considerable power to a faction within its organisational structure that is both fiercely autonomous and frequently defiant. After politically exploiting his divisive rhetoric, and allowing him to share State-level campaign space with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP would have found it difficult to refuse Mr. Adityanath a prominent role in post-election U.P. But to make him the Chief Minister is to risk the fringe taking hold of the centre.

Here fringe means – members of a political group . Means there are some members of this group who donot want him(Yogi) to become the CM. So by making him the CM, the party can lose the confidence of these members ,(who have a strong control in the working of central govt.

    (A) To understand why, consider the three big drivers of inflation in the rich world: the price of imports, capacity pressures in the domestic economy and the public’s expectations.

    (B) After two years of unusually low price pressures, inflation across the rich world is set to revive this year.

    (C) It was telling that Germany, a country with a phobia of rising prices, in the first week of 2017 reported a jump in inflation.

    (D) Much of this is because of the oil price, which fell below $30 a barrel in the early months of 2016 but has recently risen above $50.

This process done in hurriedly which hurts wealth holders and many of whom accumulated their savings turned valueless , which result people demand compensation from the govt. In Myanmar millitary govt resort demonetization of some denomination of ruble 3 times to crub black money and smuggling but demonetization tends to increase inflation which result people strated purchasing goods from China that again gave birth to smuggling and also created disinterest among citizens.
Inspired from India, Venezuela also gave notice that 100 bolivar bill be illegal after 72 hours. This decision was gobsmack as Venezuela was in amidst of economic crisis , which cause anger among people as 100 bolivar bill was 77% in circulation and people didnt get time to exchange it so they started protest and as a result govt decided to postpone its decision till 2 jan 2017
People interest is important in an economy if they will not support any decision it will not get fulfill . As other countries also did demonetization but its was not successful on the other hand with the people’s support it was successful in India , is doesnt means Indians didnt face any problem , they also faced but they were supported so it was successful.

In 5 minutes 25 L is filled. => in 1 minute 5 litre is filled
Let the inlet pipe fill A litre of water in 1 minute, and outlet pipe remove B litre of water per minute
      then, A-B = 5 —(i)
now when the rate of outlet pipe is doubled, then the tank is never filled
means A-2B=0 (zero is the minimum condition)
      =>A=2B
      put A=2B in eq (i)
      2B-B=5
      => B=5 litre
means if the rate of pipe B is 5 L/min or more than it, the tank will never fill.. hence as per option answer is 6 litre/min

    NSG and india
NSG is the group of 48 nuclear supplier countries, that came into existence after India’s nuclear test in 1974 at Phokhran. Its laid norms for nuclear material and technology from exporting and importing and also set stringent rules regarding sells of material use in making nuclear weapons. It has two groups first one is NWG (nuclear weapon group) and other one is NNWG (non nuclear weapon group ).
India has being toiling to become it member since 2008. With the help of US, India gets into export and import regims such as Australian group , MTCR etc and its seeking for NSG . As India is vast country and supplying electricity to each and every household at cheaper cost is not an easy task but it the use of nuclear reactors it is possible . Also india’s indigeous nuclear technology is not that much efficient but if India become a member of NSG then it can exchange technique with other countries and utilize it in countries welfare .
But some member countries are strongly opposing its entry because India is non signatory country of NPT and if they grant seat to India then then also have to grant a seat to other non signatory countries ( Pakistan) too which also wants to become its member and applied for it in 2016 and no member country want an entry of Pakistan due to its bad reputation, So India’s dream to become NSG member in the near future does not seems true.

Countries on the basis or nuclear weapons they have are divided into (The sentence you wrote was grammatically correct by was not true in reality)two groups first one is NWG (nuclear weapon group) and other one is NNWG (non nuclear weapon group ).
India has being toiling to become its member since 2008. With the help of US, India has got entry into export and import regimes such as Australian group , MTCR etc and its seeking for NSG . As India is a vast country so(Kyunki India vast country hai, isliye sabko cheap elctricity provide krna krna easy nhi hai) supplying electricity to each and every household at cheaper cost is not an easy task but by the use of nuclear reactors it is possible . Also india’s indigenous nuclear technology is not that much efficient. But if India become a member of NSG then it can exchange technique with other countries and utilize it in countries welfare .

sir isme kuch or points add karna hai but samaj nhi aa rha ki unko sentance me kese frame kare or usko kese fit kare second phara me jese
india ko NSG ki jarurat isliye bhi hai qki vo ki developing country hai and vo world ki other countries ki sath milke nuclear felid me aage badna chahati hai or apni country ko save karna cahati hai and make in india scheme ke under vo india ko ek new direction dena chahati hai

or sir last phara me kya hum ye add kar sakte hain –
yadi india ko NPT ka member banana hai to usko apni saare nuclear weapons ki dismantle karna hoga ya NSG ko hand over karna hoga lekin defence minster kise oppose me hain qki vo jaante hain ki yadi vo saare weapons ko dismantle kar denge to india defence me kamjor ho jayegi and koi bhi iska fayeda utha sakta hai

          ok i will tell soon

India’s Entry in NSG is important for it because being a developing country it needs to learn from other developed country and utlize their knowledge base to become self reliant in nuclear technology in near future. Nuclear technology will help India in saving itself from possible nuclear attacks from neighbouring countries and also will boost Make In India initiative.

India’s indigenous technology is not that much efficient to make different different types of weapons but if it becomes NSG member then it can exchange technique with developed countries and use it in better way. Also India is a developing country and it needs a lot of interaction with developed countries and also needs to gain knowledge from them so that it becomes a self reliant in nuclear deals and it will work to boost Make In India initiative.
Some countries are in favour of India but some are strongly opposing it. As India is non signatory country of NPT so if they grant seat to India then they also have to grant a seat to other non signatory countries (Pakistan) , which also have applied for NSG’s membership in 2016. NO country is in mood to give an entry to Pakistan because of its bad reputation. NSG said if India wants to become NPT member then either India has to dismantle all its its nuclear weapons or hand over it to international security group, but Defence minister is not in its favour as if they dismantle all its nuclear weapon then India becomes vulnerable and enemy countries can take its advantage and they can create problems for the country. So dream to become NSG member is not seems to be possible in the near future

In India both rupee and coin is a legal tender means it use as a mode of exchange all over the country and no one can refuse to accept it in transaction , it is also a flat money sitllwe accept it as a mode of exchange because its value is guaranteed by government of India and reserve bank of India .The promissory clause written on the banknote ” i promise to pay the bearer a sum of ” means obligation on the part of bank to exchange the banknote with the other bank note of lower value or with coins as mentioned in Indian coinage act 2011 of equvilant amount .This was done by RBI to bring confidence among citizens towards Indian currency and to replace goods with goods transaction to goods with money which is simple way to exchange anything with money.
The clause “i promise to pay the bearer a sum of ” written on banknote is signed by governor of RBI but it doesnot mean that any paper signed by governor of RBI is banknote this is restricted in section 22 of Reseve bank of India act 1934

After selling a watch, Sultan found that he had made a loss of 10% He also found that had he sold it for Rs. 27 more, he would have made a profit of 5% The actual initial loss was what percentage of the profit earned, had he sold the watch for a 5% profit?
    (a) 23%
    (b) 150%
    (c) 180%
    (d) 200%
    (e) None of these

    1. By formula
      CP = 27×100/[5 – (-10)] = Rs 180
      Initial loss was 10%
      Means loss = 10% of 180 = Rs 18

Now CP = 180 and new profit % is 5%
      So new profit = 5% of 180 = Rs 9
      So required % is
      18/9 * 100 = 200%

2 hours reading is sufficient for English? In eng my vocab part is better than grammar , I find problem in doing spoting error question 😐

    1. Yes 2 hours is sufficient .
If vocab part is good then increase ur reading speed and u can do good in RC. This time its a possibility that vocab will not be from RC, but will be in questions. Like synonym or antonym of —– is?
So that is also a plus point.

    plzz solve this qus

    1. Suraj

      1 feet = 12 inch
area of rect = 4*12 *4*12 inch square
area of square = 1/2 *1/2 inch square
      required no of square = (4*12*4*12)/(1/2 *1/2) = 9216

There are nine people P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W and X in a family. It is a three generation family. They are sitting in a row facing in North and South directions not necessarily in the same order. The following information is known about them. R who is P’s father sits fourth to the right of Q who is the only daughter of T and they both face in the opposite directions. S sits third to the right of U who is Q’s grandmother and one of them sits adjacent to X. S is unmarried and faces in a direction similar to that of V. T who is the sister of S sits at one of the ends with a female. R’s neighbours are females and face in opposite directions. U’s spouse R faces in the North direction. X who is the wife of V sits at the middle facing in South direction. P, who is male, is the only sibling of V sits exactly between S and Q’s cousin who is a male. The people sitting at ends face in North direction. P faces in the same direction as that of U. R sits adjacent to X.

    1. Family tree is
      R and U a couple – R being male
      They have 2 sons – P and V
      P is married to T and V to X
      T is sister of S.
      Q is daughter of P and T.
      W is child of V and X.

      Arrangement:
Step 1: Given that R is facing north. Anf R and Q face opposite directions.
And R is fourth right of Q.

Step 2: X is adjacent to R and sits in middle of row.
Since it sits in middle so X must be immediate right if R.

Step3: T is at one of ends.
      This gives 2 arrangements.

      Step4: P is in middle of W and S
So from two arrangements one gets contradicted – in which T is at extreme right end of row
Because if T is extreme right. No 3 adjacent seats are available to put P W and S.

      Now 1 arrangement left.
So P becomes 2nd from extreme right end.
But position of W and S not known.

Next step: S is third right of U.
This is possible only when S adjacent to R. So W at extreme right.
Only one position left for V.

      For directions – use
      neighbors of R face opposite.
      Extremes face North.
      S and V face same.

    The wages payment bill 2017
The wages payment act 1935 regulates the payment of wages to a certain class of people. Several amendment has been made time to time and last time it was made in 2005. According to the section 6 of this act wages shall be payed to the workers through current coins , currency notes or in both. Now in 2017 some changes have been made in it as wages should be payed by cheque or by crediting it to employees account.
With the passage of time technology has been changed and large working class people are attracting towards bank. So government decided to make their payment either by cheque or by crediting it to their banks account.
This will reduce the complain of non payment or less payment to employees. Another objective of this is to bring transparency and move towards digital and cashless economy. The government of haryana, AP, Kerala , Uttarakhand and Punjab have already made this provision in their state act and now central government took this provision and made it nation wide.
Any country can not grow with ignoring its citizens problems. As this was one of the problems of them middle class workers and this move will reduce corruption and bring transparency in the system ,so this was welcomed by everyone

5 men or 15 women could do a work in 80 days. how long will it take to finish the work if 15 men and 12 women do the work on alternative day, starting from 15 men.

    1. Suraj

      15 men ->80/3 days
      12 women -> 15/12*80=100 days
      in 2 days (15 m+ 12w) can do 3/80 +1/100 of the work = 38/800 of the work…
means in 42 days the amount of work completed = 21*38/800 =798/800

      remaining work = 1-798/800 -2/800=1/400
now its turn of 15 men to do the work
      they will take 1/400 *80/3 =1/15 day
      total time = 42(1/15) days

        total wrk= 399 +1 = 400

      O

Next point (ii) .Data about three females
So we have 4 arrangements here
Case 1: N has spec in P, L’s frndshp with C and O ‘s frndship with doctor having spec I
      Female………………..Spec……………Doctor……………Spec
      K ……………………… T
      L ……………………… S…………………..C
      M
      N………………………..P
      O…………………………………………………………………..I

Case 2: N has spec in P, O’s frndshp with C and L ‘s frndship with doctor having spec I
      Female………………..Spec……………Doctor……………Spec
      K ……………………… T
      L ……………………… S………………………………………I
      M
      N………………………..P
      O……………………………………………..C

Case 3: O has spec in P, N’s frndshp with C and L ‘s frndship with doctor having spec I
      Female………………..Spec……………Doctor……………Spec
      K ……………………… T
      L ……………………… S………………………………………I
      M
      N……………………………………………….C
      O………………………..P

Case 4: O has spec in P, L’s frndshp with C and N ‘s frndship with doctor having spec I
      Female………………..Spec……………Doctor……………Spec
      K ……………………… T
      L ……………………… S………………..C
      M
      N…………………………………………………………………..I
      O………………………..P

      Now see (iii) point
Q is spec of remaining female and that goes with H here
Put this info in 4 arrangements, case 1 and case 4 gets contradicted

So left with 2 arrangements (remaining male M has spec R)

      case 2:
      Female………………..Spec……………Doctor……………Spec
      K ……………………… T
      L ……………………… S………………………………………I
      M………………………..R
      N………………………..P
      O………………………..Q…………………..C………………..H

      case 3:
      Female………………..Spec……………Doctor……………Spec
      K ……………………… T
      L ……………………… S………………………………………I
      M…………………………R
      N…………………………Q…………………..C……………….H
      O………………………..P

      now point (vi)
O is not a female who has frndship with one who has spec in F
means a female has frndship with one who has spec in F but that is not O. In case 3 this gets contradicted
      Now case 2 left only

    1. 3 years ago, total age of sumit n somi = 52
      So now is 52+6 = 58
      So 5 years hence = 58+10 = 68
      Also 5 years hence Total age of all 3 = 24×3= 72
So age of son 5 years hence = 72-68=4 years
      So when son was born
Total age of sumit n soni is 68-10 = 58
      So average 29

Manoj had a calculator which had ten digits and all the basic mathematical operators. He decided to clean the calculator by removing all the keys and while reassembling it, he interchanged the locations of three pairs of keys. For example, if he placed the key ‘1’ in the place of the key ‘5’, he placed the key ‘5’ only in the place of the key ‘1’ and not any other key. All the six keys that were interchanged corresponded only to numbers and not to any mathematical operators. Later, he input some calculations and obtained outputs as provided below. The input is shown in terms of the keys that Manoj pressed, while the output is the output displayed by the calculator.
    Output:
    i)128+64=195 ii)912+43=942 iii)95+84=128 iv)178+19=192
1.Key for which of the following is not interchanged?
    1. 8
    2. 6
    3. 3
    4. 1
    5. 4
2.Which of the following pair of digits is unchanged?
    1. 3,0,1
    2. 3,7,1
    3. 9,5,6
    4. 9,0,1
    5. 9,4,3
3.What will be output for the input “345+765”?
    1. 1110
    2. 1582
    3. 1610
    4. 1382
    5. None of these
4.What will be output for the input “36+71”?
    1. 107
    2. 156
    3. 147
    4. 137
    5. 146

    1. A lengthy procedure for this
      Sabka check krna pdega
      Like ii part me 912 + 43 = 942
So possibility that 9 has been interchanged with 8 or its not interchanged with any number.
Cz answer me 9 tabi aa sakta h
      Now see iii part me
Agar 9 n 8 interchange hue hote to 9+8 17 ata but it us 12.
So 9 ko kisi number se interchange nhi kiya
      Proceed like this

    population explosion
It is rightly said , the greatest shortcoming of human race is unable to understand the exponential function. Some countries like Canada , Spain where population is decreasing might be prove as boon while some other countries like India, population explosion become curse which is creating hinderance in the development of society and country. With the 16% of the total world population , India stand on 2nd position . Developing countries already facing problems related to lack of resources and needs. With the rapidly escalating in population , resources per person are decreasing, lacking of education , malnutrition etc.
It took history of mankind to population to reach 1 billion in 1810 . Todays world population is 6 billion and India alone has 1 billion ,so India has cause to fret.
To reduce ill effect of population explosion the governoment of India has created Family planning program in 1950 and later changed it to Family Walfare to bring awareness related to family planning , and also give the slogan “One couple, two children “. But i believe the need of call to check on population explosion lies in education. If every educated person take into the stride to teach other person “Each one teach one ” should be followed.Gandhi ji had said that it is easier to self control than controlled by others. Multiplicity of wants create multiply of problems in multiple folds.
Finally i want to conclude by saying that with so many of us on a very small planet, and with the addition of so many more every week, we can no longer persist to relate to each other. Mother nature which could not care less for use will eleminate us from this earth

Two pipes can fill a tank in 1hr. and 72 min respectively both the pipes are open together but due to some dust
in pipe the efficiency pipes are decreased to 5/6 and 9/10 of their actually efficiency of respectively. After
some time the dust in both pipes get clear together and both pipe run with their full efficiency and then tank
can be filled in 31 min. Find in how much time it take to clear dust.
    1. 1 min
    2. 2 min
    3. 5.3 min
    4. 6.5 min
    5. Can’t be determined

mam/sir plz explain…….. solve ni ho pa rha

    1. Ques me problem hai kahin
If both pipes are opened together then
      1/60 + 1/72 = 11/360
      Or 360/11 = 32.7 mins

N given hai ki dust ki vajah se efficiency dec hui.
To 32.7 se jada time lagna chaiye to fill the tank.
But given time to 31 mins h

      1. •?((¯°·._.• ąʍβɨЌą •._.·°¯))؟•

yes mam yhi mera ans aa rha tha ..thanku mam

    2. If ques hai ki pipes ki dust clear hone k bad 31 mins lagte hai the the q can be solved

      1st takes 60 mins. So after reduced efficiency it takes 6/5 * 60 = 72 mins
      2nd pipe takes 10/9 * 72 = 80 mins. So

      (1/72 + 1/80)*x + (1/60 + 1/72)*31 = 1
      Solve x = 2 mins

    1. Suraj

Rule ye hai ki agar koi conclusion definetly true hai,, usme possibilty add kar do to wo false ho jayega…

No pencil is ink means surely that SOme pencil are not ink.. this is definetely true.. SO iski possibilty false hogi…
      so the con is false..

you can learn all these rules with us.. From tomorrow we are starting a one week class on syllogism by rules….

ii) The bright lamp gave much light.
give b to sahi hoga yaha?

    1. Suraj

give likhna hai to aise hoga
The bright lamp gives much light…

      1. MITTHU

yes yes ofcourse verb singular ayega:)

    1. Let total solution = 100l
      So petrol = 20l, diesel = 50, kerosene = 30
      Now 25% replaced means 25 l replaced
      Divide 25 in the ratio of 2 : 5 : 3
      So
      remaining quantities sre
      p = 15 , d = 37.5 and k = 22.5
      Now 25 l kerosene is added also, so k = 22.5 + 25 = 47.5 l
      new ratio – 15 : 37.5 : 47.5
      Now 2/3 of 100 l is replaced means 200/3 l
      again divide 200/3 in ratio 15 : 37.5 : 47.5
      So remaining quantities:
      p = 5 , d = 12.5 and k = 47.5
now 200/3 l of petrol added
      so p becomes = 5 + 200/3 = 215/3
      So new ratio 215/3 : 12.5 : 47.5
      quantity of diesel is 12,5
so 12.5% as total 100 l solution hai

    2. The whole method is this which is described below
but no need to do all this
Because the total quantity is not changed. it was 100 at beginning and 100 at last
We have to find % of diesel
so just keep on subtracting the replaced quantities from the quantity of diesel.
      diesel is 50 l
      so 25% of 100 = 25, so 5/10 * 25 = 25/2 l of diesel replaced
      so remaining diesel = 37.5
      next 200/3 mixture replaced
      remaining diesel is 12.5
      so 12.5%

      1. shreya ..

        thank u so much ma’am got u point 🙂

      2. shreya ..

ma’am 200/3 ko again divide karne k liye p and k ka ratio to nikalna padega na..

        1. No
Tab b final 100 hi rhega na
          So just 37.5/100 × 200/3 nikalna h diesel ka which is 25
          So 37.5 – 25

          1. shreya ..

ohk ohk got it . ty

    1. Start from point 3. Then 4.
4 k bad there are 2 possibilities as G is immediate of I.
Next fix point 1 keeping in mind that A us male and couples sath me bethe hai.

Now inme se ek possibility me I and G will be a couple. Which is not possible cz I and G are facing same direction. But members of a couple should face opposite direction.
So this 1 possibility cancels out.
In the left arrangement also possibility cases will be there.
      Cases bna k solve further.
Try agar ho jata h..else i ll give complete solution.

Read in puzzle that about which person more is given. Start with that.

A+B can complete a work in half the time of ‘C’ while B+C can complete the same work in 1/3 time than A. if they together can complete the work in 20days .in how many days can do it alone?

    1. A and B half time of C.
      Let C in 2x days so A and B in x days.
      So 1/x + 1/2x = 1/20
      X =30
      So C in 60 days.

      Now B and C in 1/3rd time of A.
      Let A in 3y days so B and C in y days.
      So 1/y + 1/3y = 1/20
      Solve
So A can do in 80 days.
      Now find for B.
      1/80 + 1/B = 1/30

    2. purvi

      a+b——-c
      2———-1
      c = 20*3/1= 60
      b+c———–a
      3———–1
      a = 20*4/1= 80
      b = 30

  72. Yes correct. Gives.
    Depends on sentence usage

    Do people still need reservation
Since the age it is the topic of wide debate whether people still need reservation or not. If they need then to whom it should be given. Do backward class people still need reservation? what should be the criteria if at all it be given ? what if there will no reservation ? will there be equality ? Do they actually get benefit of reservation ?
As we all know there are laws for everything in our country but they bent according to some higher class people. If we see small children working in any place then question comes in our mind ,do they get benefit of reservation ? And when we see some higher class people then the question comes whether they actually need reservation. When we talk about reservation, two point comes in our mind, Who are backward class people ? and What is reservation ?
Backward class people are those who do not get equal place in our society , either because they have financial problems or they belongs to some backward caste, and reservation is to give the same opportunity to them as upper class people get in education and in job. Reservation is kind of tool which help the people to get equal opportunity in the society. In our country politicians has change the meaning of it , for them it is a tool of collecting more and more votes.Still there are many people in our country who are fighting of their survival , for getting food. If we want equality then we should take all of them with us. What if a person born in a poor upper class family , doesn’t he deserve all opportunity that other people gets.
The problem is at a grass root level. Government should work on it so that only deserving people get benefit of it , govt should work on it keeping national interest in mind rather than political one. Reservation should be based on the financial basis not on the basis of caste or religious.

Reservation has been a burning topic for over a decade or two. It has been an inbuilt part of our constituion. But with time, much has changed and a lot is yet to be changed. We were given a poor, fragramented country and we developed it into the world’s Biggest democracy ever. Now we are World’s third largest Economy. Amidst all these figures, Do we still need reservation? This questions haunts many young minds including I.

As the constitution defines, Reservation are a series of affirmative actions undertaken through reserving access to seats in the different legislatures, government jobs, and to enrollment in higher educational institutions for castes and tribes recognized in the list of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes as recognized by Government of India, to promote equality. Ever since the constitution is laid, the government is busy equalizing these SCs & STs. And the Mandal Commission Recommendation had done much more for the promotion. But this is high time now!

Government need to take stringent measure to decide who ought to be reserved & who not. Is it the Tribal Cast who needs reservation? Or the Economically backward classes? Or the Social Backward? Or any Other Elite classes which want/need reservation? Doesn’t Equality defines that an SC, ST and an UR student should be treated equally? Let’s talk about the 2016 UPSC topper Tina Dabi. She is the daughter of Engineer parents and she cannot be equalized with an economically backward Candidate. And there are many more like Tina Dabi, who never cease to give up reservation.

I am not against reservation. As it is necessary for the upliftment of those backward people who are ignored by, not only the society but also the polity. I just want the political elites to re-consider as Who should be given the Previlige of being RESERVED. I rest my Case!!

        solutiion plzz ??

        1. Let total distance be d km, speed = u, and time = t hours
          So case 1:
          60 km with speed u, (d-60) with speed 5/6 of u
If he would have traveled (d-60) by speed u, then time = (d-60)/u
          But now time is = (d-60)/(5u/6) = 6(d-60)/5u
          And difference in timings is 1 hr 12 minutes = 1 1/5 hour = 6/5 hours
          So 6(d-60)/5u – (d-60)/u = 6/5
          Solve (d-60)/u = 6
          case 2:
          120 km with speed u, (d-120) with speed 5/6 of u
If he would have travelled (d-120) by speed u, then time = (d-120)/u
          But now time is = (d-120)/(5u/6) = 6(d-48)/5u
And difference in timings is 1 hour
          So 6(d-120)/5u – (d-120)/u = 1
          Solve (d-120)/5u = 1
          Divide both equations, d = 420 km , so u = 60 km/hr

          3. Pradeep Narayan

ma’m were hav you gone plz tell me how to calculate whole distance

          4. Let total distance be d km, speed = u, and time = t hours
            So case 1:
            60 km with speed u, (d-60) with speed 5/6 of u
If he would have traveled (d-60) by speed u, then time = (d-60)/u
            But now time is = (d-60)/(5u/6) = 6(d-60)/5u
            And difference in timings is 1 hr 12 minutes = 1 1/5 hour = 6/5 hours
            So 6(d-60)/5u – (d-60)/u = 6/5
            Solve (d-60)/u = 6
            case 2:
            120 km with speed u, (d-120) with speed 5/6 of u
If he would have travelled (d-120) by speed u, then time = (d-120)/u
            But now time is = (d-120)/(5u/6) = 6(d-48)/5u
And difference in timings is 1 hour
            So 6(d-120)/5u – (d-120)/u = 1
            Solve (d-120)/5u = 1
            Divide both equations, d = 420 km , so u = 60 km/hr..

    1. Pradeep Narayan

how to calculate total distance in this case can yu help me maa’m

      8 : 6 : 3

      1. Pradeep Narayan

one minor doubt related to this is bhanu =3d/4 and chintu = d/4 assumed? or used the above condition ma’m?/

        1. We have assumed total distance d. N then divided the track in 4 parts.
After that 3d/4 and d/4 is according to given condition only

          U dint get ?

          1. Pradeep Narayan

yes ma’m the condition of bhanu and chintu i didnt get

          2. See the difference in distances.
            Aman and Bhanu ka d – 3d/4 = d/4.
            Bhanu and Chintu ka 3d/4 – d/4 = d/2
So as per question. Bhanu n Chintu ka is twice that of Aman and Bhanu.
            Now got?

U can leave these questions in exams.
Word problems vse b last me karni chaiye. So choose only easy topics likes ages, average, partnership and others as u like

      maaa’m iska ans milega aapse..??

      1. Gd mng. U just post doubts. Whenever we get time. We reply.
        See here.
        Distance = speed × time.

When a quantity is a multiple of two other quantities successive method can be used.
Yahn distance is length of trains.
Speed is the relative speed of trains. N because trains same direction me ja rhi h to relative speed difference of speeds se aaegi.
        So successive method says.
        Increase/ dec in distance = x + y + xy/100
Yahn decrease in length of trains is 10% so -10.
Difference in speeds increased by 20% so +20
        So
        -10 = 20 + y + 20y/100
        Solve and get y
        Y is – 25%

So % change in time is -25% or decrease of 25%

Ki a = b×c jahn apply ho rha hai vahn ye method lgega
            To change in a = x + y + xy/100

To yahn change in a and b diya hua hai. N change in c nikalna hai.

            Distance = speed×time na

Time is not distance × speed

          2. Pradeep Narayan

he ratio between income of P and Q is 15:17 .when P gives rs 2000 to Q then ratio becomes 7 :8 .find the total income of P and Q.
    SOLVE THIS MA’M

    1. Suraj

      P:Q=15x:17x
      (15x-2000)/(17x+2000)=7/8
      solve and get x=30000
      P=15*30000
      Q=17*30000

      1. Pradeep Narayan

but final ratio is not satisfying
        ie
        (45000 -2000)/(51000+ 2000) not equal to 7/8

        1. Suraj

ek ek zero kam liya hai..
          450000 hoga and 510000
          450000-2000=448000 and 510000+2000=512000
          448/512=7/8

            ji sir

          21. Keep Smile

            ur way ??

          22. Suraj

            take first eqn as example
i will use the following term Ax^2 + Bx +C=0
            here A= 2 , B=(4+sqrt13) . C= 2sqrt 13
root wo honge jinka multiplication A*C k barabar ho and SUM =B k barabar ho
aise ques me jinme root involved ho, they are very easy to solve by this way…
            See A*C= 2*2sqrtroot13= 4sqrt13
            and B= (4+sqrt13)

now aisa number jinka multiplication A*C k equal ho and SUm B k equal ho, that is 4 and root 13
            as 4*root 13 = A*C
            and 4+root 13=B

so now actual roots are 4/A =4/2 =2
            and root13/A=(root 13)/2

          23. Keep Smile

            ans wud be ….. x>=y ??

          24. Suraj

            NO
            x=2, root(13)/2
            y= 1.8 , root(13)/2

#- those word which have even number of alphabet
@ – those words which have odd number of alphabet

      Format of code-
First Term – Reverse of last alphabet of the word
example in declared, last alphabet = d reverse is W

Second Term – First alphabet in the word + 2 i.e in declared first alphabet is d then d+2= F
      Third Term =# explained

Fourth term= sum of alphabet on first place and last place=d+d=4+4=8

      So for

        YAA….MISS

        1. chotu

          from Qn
          (B+C) = 3 (A+B+C) —- time
          then
          3(B+C) = (A+B+C) — efficiency
          (B+C)/(A+B+C) = 1/3

          1. Pradeep Narayan

YAA BRO .UNDESTOOD THE LAST STEP B BTA DO…
(A+B) -(A+B+C)= 1/2 HAI NA ISME VALUES KAISE RAKI

          2. chotu

Qn me diya gya hai ki
            A+B = 1/2 +(A+B+C) ——1
            time ratio
            A—-B——C
            1—-3—–6
            lcm = 6X
            now A’s time to do work = 6X/X = 6
            same for B = 6X/3X = 2
            C= 6X/6X = 1
            A+B = 6X/(A+B)’s wrk = 6X/(6+2) = 6X/8
            A+B+C = 6X/(A+B+C)’s wrk = 6X/(6+2+1) = 6X/9
            A+B = 1/2 +(A+B+C)
            6X/8 = 1/2 + 6X/9
            6X/8 – 6X/9 = 1/2

      4. Pradeep Narayan

ISME TO 6 ANS AA RHA H
        72* 0.5 = 36 AND 36/6 =6

          4. Laughing tym its nitrous oxide

sorry some women is not honest is also wrong ‘
bcoz it will follow in possibility so only 3 definetly dnt follow

    2. Suraj

      Only III doesnot follows definitely…

      1. Pradeep Narayan

sir explain..how can i mean definately here??

        1. Suraj

definitely means ki wo 100% false hona chahye.. agar aisa koi statement hai jiski possibilty bhi true ho,, to usko nhi keh sakte ki wo definetely false hoga… 100% false hona chahye
As in the above example.. Conclusion II. bhi false hai, lekin uski possibility true hai.. isliye II. ko we cannot say ki it is definetely false

but for III. we will get ki SOME HONEST ARE NOT BOY.. iska matlab ki jab kuch honest boy nhi hai,, to ALL HONEST BOY ho hi nhi sakte,, so III. false hai

          1. Pradeep Narayan

thanks sirrrr….means for definately not follow v have to rule out both definate and possiblity case..??
